The newly-reopened fishing pier in Portland is free and available 24/7. The pier has lighting for night fishing, a fish-cleaning station, a pavilion, picnic tables, and is handicapped accessible. Bring your tackle box!
Sinton Golf Course
No sand traps! This family-friendly 18-hole golf course has several challenging holes over the water. Practice on the Driving Range and Putting Green, and treat yourself to snacks, drinks, and ice-cold beer.
Taft Blackland Museum
Great museum loaded with local history, including a blacksmith shop, rock & gem display, arrowheads, old farm tools, and early photos of Taft and the surrounding communities. Friendly tour guides too!
Justice Label Distillery
Go to Sinton to visit a distillery that makes moonshine, whiskey, and other spirits the old-fashioned way…with old-school recipes and South Texas corn. Try their pecan-wood aged Bronze Star Whiskey. You’ll like it!
A ‘must see’ destination for Selena fans. Selena Quintanilla Perez, the Queen of Tejano Music, holds a special place in the story of Corpus Christi. Built by the Quintanilla family to celebrate the life and achievements of their beloved daughter, the museum includes a tour of Selena’s stage costumes, collections, and memorabilia including her red Porsche and GRAMMY award.
